MVC-Iligan CSR Activities Throughout the Pandemic

Despite the restrictions brought by the on-going pandemic, Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation (MVC) continues to uphold its Corporate Social Responsibilities by providing support to neighboring communities.

In Iligan, MVC supported its frontliners by helping to disinfect the city streets using its product, sodium hypochlorite, or more commonly known as bleach. MVC also donated 1000ppm sodium hypochlorite, used HDPE pipes, used jugs, and drum pumps to various organizations and local government units to assist the fight against COVID-19. At Iligan City’s entry points and barangays, MVC prepared and provided disinfectants.

Through the Bayanihan Program, packed lunch meals were distributed to locally stranded individuals and frontliners at isolation facilities. MVC also distributed relief goods to the residents of Purok 13of Timoga and Purok 1 & 2 of Sitio Tonggo, Iligan City under the same program. Different schools also benefitted from the Brigada Eskwela conducted at Brgy. Buru-un and Brgy. Ditucalan in Iligan City. MVC distributed thermal scanners, foot baths, portable sinks, portable liquid soap dispensers & 1000ppm sodium hypochlorite solution to public elementary and high schools. MVC scholars from Purok 13 of Timoga, and Purok 1& 2 of Sitio Tonggo were not left out as they were given school supplies. In the spirt of Christmas giving, MVC’s Pamaskong Handog carried on amidst the pandemic with distribution of food and gift packs to kids of Purok 13 of Timoga and Purok 1 & 2 of Sitio Tonggo.

By conducting all of these programs during this 2020, MVC persisted in helping its neighboring communities throughout these trying times.
