Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation was named as one of the 2017 PhilHealth Champions for the formal economy sector. Together with the other 10 awardees, MVC received the recognition during the Media Forum and Gawad Pagkilala of PhilHealth Champions 2017 last December 17 at Robinsons Place Atrium, Iligan City. Ms. Florita B. Quijano (HRD Manager for Iligan) and Ms. Myralyn M. Mendoza (Personnel & Community Relations Officer) were present to receive the award.

“Gawad Pagkilala of PhilHealth Champions is an initiative of PhilHealth Iligan City – Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) to recognize those PhilHealth partners who have extended exemplary contribution in support to our local operations. This is our second time now to give said recognition. Last recognition was done three years ago – year 2014,” said Ms. Christine Mae G. Magno, CSIO/Chief – LHIO Iligan and Lanao Del Norte.

In behalf of MVC management, Ms. Mendoza thanked PhilHealth-Iligan for the honor and recognition. She said that MVC is just doing its job – providing what is due to its employees. “Receiving this award gives an added value to our efforts done, thus, inspires us to do our part so that employees will fully avail the benefits of PhilHealth,” Ms. Mendoza further said.

Another awardee for the formal economy sector was Iligan City East High School, while other awardees came from the Rural Health Unit, Local Government Unit, Healthcare Provider, Lifetime Member, Local Health Legislation, Media Partner, Special Citation, Champion for the Poor and Posthumous Award Categories.
