In demonstrating this year’s theme for Christmas celebration, that is, “Keeping Christ in Our Hearts”, Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation (MVC) conducted the annual Pamaskong Handog sa Mga Bata activity.
Spearheaded by the Industrial Peace Council (IPC) – Committee on Community Concerns, packed meals and gift bags were distributed to the 35 children of the Timoga Day Care Center at Purok 13, Timoga, Buru-un last December 17.
Moreover, 170 kids from Purok 1 & Purok 2 of Tonggo and Purok 13 of Timoga, Barangay Bur-un had a fun-filled morning last December 22 at the Victor Patro Park in MVC Plant. The staff of McDonalds facilitated the games and also took charge of giving prizes and packed meals. Gift packs were distributed to all children at the end of the event.
Other recipients of the Pamaskong Handog sa Mga Bata Program were beneficiaries from Barangay Digkilaan via cash assistance handed through the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (Spiritans) and 250 children of Barangay Ma. Cristina via toy donation handed through the Iligan City Police Station 2 (ICPS2).
“As Christmas is the most significant time of the year, we take this opportunity to make the children and people of our neighboring communities happy. Through the years, Pamaskong Handog has become our commitment to children. It is our major event that we look forward to every year because it is our opportunity to make them happy especially in the holiday season. They just have to enjoy the day, while we make it special for them,” said Ms. Myralyn M. Mendoza, Personnel and Community Relations Officer.
