In line with the company’s commitment to health and wellness, Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation (MVC) has sponsored two major running events for the month of December, namely the Iligan Bay Chamber of Industries (IBCI) Fun Run last December 8 and the Philippine Red Cross’s Million Volunteer Run 5 last December 15.
The route for the IBCI Fun Run covers the Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), Iligan City Proper and then back again to MSU-IIT, a total of 4.5 kilometers. On the other hand, the Philippine Red Cross’s Million Volunteer Run 5 has a 3 km, 5 km and 10 km event. Both activities started and ended with Zumba, a way for runners to warm up and cool down to avoid injuries.
More than 200 runners from known companies in Iligan City and Lanao Del Norte participated in the said events.
