Employees of Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation (MVC) Iligan Plant attained 700,000 safe man-hours (1,019 days) on March 18, 2018. This accomplishment shows the dedication and commitment of MVC’s management and employees to safety and health.
“This achievement confirms every employee’s conscious efforts to keeping safety in the forefront”, Mr. Edilberto L. Bayor, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist, said. “A proactive mindset for safety ensures that each one is able to go home safe, with the added bonus of a secured workplace as well as improvement in quality and health”, he further expressed. To commemorate the occasion, long-sleeved shirts emblazoned with the achievement were given to all those involved in materializing this goal.
MVC’s best record to date was 750 days without loss time accident (LTA) achieved last August 18, 2012. The company now looks forward to the next milestone of reaching 1,000,000 safe man-hours or around 1,400 days without LTA. Mr. Bayor enjoins everyone to contribute through reinforcement of the positive culture of safety within the Plant.
