Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation (MVC) started 2018 with clear-cut plans and actions as it held its annual strategic planning of the Corporate Council on Quality, Security, Safety & Health and Environment (CCOQSSHE) last January 18 at the MVC Training Room.
Among the plans presented were “Safety Person Award” and “Stoplight Diet” by the Motivation, Safety & Environment, Education & Health Committee; “Chemical Spill Drills” by the Chemical Safety Committee; “Air Pollution Alarm” device installation by the Air Pollution Prevention Committee; and “Product Recall Exercise” and “Customer Satisfaction Enhancement Team” by the Customer Satisfaction Committee.
Vice President for Manufacturing Operations, Engr. Steve SC. Pangilinan, emphasized in his opening speech the council’s commitment towards compliance of regulatory standards and the sustainability of the programs to be implemented. These goals were kept in mind as committee chairpersons, together with their members, brainstormed their ideas and came up with different plans and programs which were presented in the afternoon session.
Newly appointed committee chairpersons were also recognized: Mr Aljone L. Casia for Customer Satisfaction, Ms. Aileen Mae J. Elnas for Continual Improvement, Mr. Jazon Troy R. Jaralve for Resource Conservation, Ms. Esther Christine DC. Mascuñana for Solid Waste Management and Ms. Girlyn L. Piedad for Chemical Safety.
The planning ended with a closing remark by Mr. Jomar S. Gorgolon, Technical Development and Services Manager.
