Bloodletting activity has already been a tradition of Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation (MVC), a commitment of giving back to the community through the act of volunteerism.
On January 23, a group of Philippine Red Cross (PRC) volunteers conducted a mobile blood drive at the MVC Conference Room. Nineteen MVC personnel, both contractors and regular employees, volunteered to donate their precious blood. Donors were able to realize the essence of selflessness knowing that their donated blood will benefit the injured liberators of the Marawi City siege.
Donating blood benefits not just the recipients but also the contributors. In giving a little less than half a liter of blood, the donor’s body can produce fresh blood, replenish the blood in the system and rejuvenate blood flow through the entire body.
