The Human Resources Department at the Iligan Plant resumes MVC Academy’s Supervisory Development Course (SDC) last September 15 with 32 old and new enrollees.

Mr. Steve SC. Pangilinan, Vice-President for Manufacturing Operations, was invited to give an inspirational message.  “MVC Academy is part of the company’s employee development program. A number of key people in the company had already retired and a few will also be retiring in the coming years.  Hence, management aims to improve and equip the leadership and management skills of those who will be left behind,” said Mr. Pangilinan.  He further stated that management is about doing each one’s part in this endeavor, and it will always be up to the learners on how to respond.

Learners were also asked to express their expectations for this program.  Joeven V. Lila, the Administrative Specialist, said that he hoped that this will be a fun-filled learning experience.  On the other hand, Josiah Don E. Lumontod, the Instrumentation Supervisor, said, “Let us grow to be the leader that we want to be.”

Management also provided a response to the expectations conveyed by the learners.  “Position yourself that you would always be one step ahead among the rest.  Make sure that you [learners] will make the most of this Academy,” replied Mr. Renato Saul C. Ortiz.

Before the training sessions started on the following day, September 16, Jhezzarose L. Fajardo, Training Officer and focal person of the MVC Academy program, presented the SDC guidelines to orient the new and old learners alike.  She further announced that the next module to be offered will be Supervisory Skills in Managing Team.
